Fall Wedding Guest Dresses
The evenings are starting to get a little cooler and there’s a certain crispness in the air, a sure sign that fall is just around the corner. Depending on where you live it can still be very warm during the daytime, but also at this time of year the weather can be very unpredictable and it can be difficult to know what to wear to a wedding as a guest. With many weddings still being held outdoors due to local restrictions, dressing for a wedding can be tricky.

Now is the time to purchase a wedding guest dress with a heavier fabric and long sleeves, one in rich jewel tones or darker florals would be perfect! Jumpsuits are perfect at this time of year too. If you don’t want to wear long sleeves just yet, bring a pretty shawl or pashmina to wrap around your shoulders when you get chilly. Practice draping it in different ways, for example tying it in the front or back to get your desired look.
My favorite jewel tone for fall is emerald green. Next to purple, dark green is my favorite color and I have a closet full of it, with a two-piece suit, blouses, skirts, and dresses. I find it a timeless and classic color for this time of year. I’m also loving mustard yellow which is everywhere this year, such a fresh, earthy color, I love it!
If you’re not ready to leave summer behind just yet, try a dress in rusty pink. It’s a beautiful transitional color for a late summer to early fall wedding.
Accessorize with black heels and a black purse but lighten the whole look up with gold jewelry such as a pair of gorgeous chandelier earrings.
