The three essential elements to consider when buying a wedding gown are (as I say frequently on this blog):
- does it make me feel beautiful?
- does it feel comfortable? Generally, light and breathable fabrics work best.
- is it within my budget?
Bear this in mind as you shop online and try on gowns at home or purchase in-store.
FYI for brides who LOVE shoes, the shorter styles and dresses with skirt slits allow brides to show off their heels that would otherwise be hidden under a fuller dress. Just in case that’s important to you!
I love that simple, short white dresses and jumpsuits can be worn again, dressed up or down for future events. Stretch that dollar! Your dress or jumpsuit may even be dyeable, check with the retailer for advice.
