Cocomelody is an international wedding retailer, who’ve been around for almost 20 years with bridal boutiques all over the world. Unfortunately, for USA brides, they only have one boutique here, in LA (yay for SoCal brides!). For the rest of us, the upside is that their bridal website boasts over 1500 wedding dress styles to drool over. If you’re looking for an affordable and unique, princess wedding dress, Cocomelody may have the bridal gown of your dreams!

Ordering

Every wedding dress is made to order and many are around $500 or less. Purchase in-store (if close by) or online. While Cocomelody is a very affordable option for brides on a small budget, research the desired gown carefully for all costs that you may incur to make it your own. To keep their pricing competitive and service convenient, a wedding dress is offered at a set price, but you may want or need add-ons, that may increase the final cost a fair bit. For example, you may need to add a petticoat, to make the wedding dress look exactly the same as the product photo, this will cost you extra.

Research

As you order, you may need to choose which extra options are most important and needed to stay in budget. It appears that Cocomelody has been very good about clearly marking any extra pricing that you might need, so you should have no problem figuring it all out. Read everything on the product page carefully and you shouldn’t have any surprises at checkout. There doesn’t appear to be any hidden fees. Don’t fall in love with a wedding gown until you have completed your cost analysis! Easier said than done understandably, everything looks so beautiful!

What We Love

The selection of wedding dresses is huge! Every style that you could imagine or want will probably be found somewhere on this bridal site.

Production time is around 45-50 days, which can be expedited to 35 or 40 days if you are in a hurry. The expedited production times will require a moderate fee though.

The choice of colors! While not all colors are available for all wedding dresses some color choices are ivory, white, pink, black or champagne. Some of these colors and/or a custom lining will come with an extra fee.

Customer photos and reviews on each product page are always the best! Seeing how the wedding dresses look on real brides of all ages and sizes is super helpful with the decision process.

Buying a wedding dress online is HARD, so anytime you can get your hands on a sample gown or fabric swatch before committing, is a good use of some of your budget. Look for:

Try At Home Program. You get to try on 3 sample wedding dresses at home, at $30 per gown. Keep the wedding dress for 3 calendar days from the delivery date and return. Don’t be late turning it back in, it will cost you! This program is only available within the USA.

Purchase a swatch of bridal gown fabric for a fee.

To save money, look for the student and military discount information if it applies.

Sizing

Sizing is available in standard sizes from 0-28 (yay!). Plus size wedding dresses may carry an extra fee. Custom tailoring is also available for a fee.

Your wedding dress will be made to order whether you choose standard sizing or custom sizing, so the production time is the same. This means though, that if you change your mind about your order, cancel it within 24 hours to ensure that you are eligible for a full refund.

Shipping

With processing, tailoring, and shipping, your wedding dress should be with you within 6-7 weeks AT MOST from the order being placed. Check each individual product page though because production time may vary. Again, expedited shipping is available if needed for a fee.

Shipping is from warehouses in the USA or China.

Remember that even if you choose custom tailoring, you may still need some alterations for an exact fit once you have the gown. Keep this in mind and allow extra time and money for this before your wedding date. Some brides may also be entitled to a limited alteration reimbursement from Cocomelody, so do ask them.

Tip: Check the shipping cost by putting the wedding dress you want into your shopping cart.

Another Tip: Be sure to check whether you will be subject to customs import taxes, which will vary by country.

Returns

Start returns with Cocomelody within 7 days of delivery and read the return policy carefully, especially related to shipping fee refunds and re-stocking fees. Be aware that final sale wedding dresses and custom-tailored wedding dresses are non-returnable/no refunds.
